My Story

I began my legal career over twenty years ago. As a graduate of Hobart and William Smith Colleges, Geneva, New York and Howard University School of Law, I entered the legal profession well prepared to represent the best interest of my clients. Together with my law partner, Evelyn O.A. Darden, we established our unique “ Mother-Son” law firm of ADDISON-DARDEN in 1988.

Over the past years, I have handled a diverse field of cases including civil and criminal matters. I've gained a reputation in both fields of law as a strong proponent for the cause of justice for my clients. Additionally, I've successfully advocated and litigated for the best results for our clients in Circuit and District Courts throughout the State of Maryland.  I continue to be honored for being recognized and respected as both a strong trial attorney and negotiator.

Throughout my legal career, I've served in leadership positions on various boards and organizations at the local, state and national levels. And, as a lifelong athlete and avid sports enthusiast, I currently serve as Head Lacrosse Coach for Oakland Mills High School in Columbia, MD. Being active in my community and church in various aspects allows me to give back in a multitude of ways.

My family and I have participated in many short-term mission trips to Ghana, in West Africa since 2001.  Our passion for travel has taken us to many parts of the world, including an extended trip to Israel in 2018 to watch my two adult sons play for Team Jamaica in the World Lacrosse Games held in Tel Aviv, Israel.

Growing up, I had a front row seat to my mother Eveyln O. A. Darden. If you read her page before mine you know what an amazing civil rights trailblazer she is as well as the recipient of many well-earned accolades and awards. As her son, I had the benefit of watching her in many roles as she fought for civil rights, the community and the nation. Today, and every day, I am grateful we get to serve you together and give you fair and quality representation. Our clients are our best advertising and will tell you we are with you, every step of the way.
